Monday 16th February - Martin Gee & Big Bazza visit the award winning "Scooby Snax" fish & chip shop in Brightlingsea & Marc Elliott looks at the history of the Fire Brigade in Clacton.

Tuesday 17th February - Hear again when Marc Elliott viited Clacton's Rotary Club. Martin Gee talks with PLRS & Marc Elliott & Big Bazza meet the Haven Lights.  

Wednesday 18th February - Another chance to hear when Martin Gee & Big Bazza visited Thorpe Social Club. Martin Gee & Colonel C visited Soken House & Marc Elliott dropped in on the Mad About Theatre Group. 

Thursday 19th February - Martin Gee & Big Bazza visited the Cake Kitchen in Frinton. Martin & Marc Elliott spoke with local historian Norman Jacobs & Marc looks at the history of the RNLI in Clacton.

Friday 20th February - Martin Gee & Terry Vickers talk with local folk group "The Onion Band". Marc Elliott finds out about the Masseek Belly Dancing School & we learn about Crescent Cat Rescue.

Coast meets The Onion Band

The local hour team this week met up with local folk band: The Onion Band which is based here in North Essex. Coast FM presenters Martin Gee and Terry Vickers spent the morning with Pug Rayner who is lead vocalist with the group.

Coast's Local Hour visit the Southeast's winning fish & chip shop Scooby Snax

Martin Gee and Big Bazza met up with the owner John McNeil of Scoobys Snax fish & chip shop, which is based in Brightlingsea and the winner of the best fish and chip shop for the southeast of the UK.
